A fairly difficult hike that takes you right to the summit of Black Butte providing premier photo opportunities on a clear day.

Starting at the Mt Shasta City Park, the Sacramento River runs right through Dunsmuir, CA with several accesible sites. Fishing, Swimming, Kayaking and more.

Modest path right next to the Butte Valley Museum.  Great place to stretch your legs while driving along Hwy 97 through Dorris, CA.

Make sure you catch a snapshot of this nice memorial statue of the founder of Weed, CA.

This is one drive that is highly recommended if you are not in any particular hurry. Connecting Interstate 5 in Yreka and Hwy 299 in Willow Creek, this long stretch of road has amazing sites all along the way.

You can find this location in our Siskiyou County swimming holes Map.  The lake freezes in the winter months and is very fun to snowshoe around.  Heart Lake above is also beautiful in winter and has potential for ice skating when safe.  

B-E-A-UTIFUL!  So many gorgeous cascading waterfalls in the Siskiyou County area.  Some of the favorites are McCloud(Lower, Middle, Upper).  Yes there are 3 in McCloud!  Also, Hedge Creek Falls in Dunsmuir is a must see.  Very easy hike.  Photo: McCloud Lower Falls

Between Weed, CA and Klamath Falls, OR lies a sweet border town called Dorris, CA.  Dorris was once home to the tallest Flagpole in the World.  

This historic course in McCloud, CA first opened for play in 1923!  The course was built by the McCloud River Lumber Company and the land was donated by the Hearst Family.
